social service agencies aren't content to just watch what happens in
Springfield. Today they took action and rallied. Despite the heat, people packed Davis Park with lots of signs and even more determination. "Just
fix it! Just fix it! Just fix it!" That's the demand to Illinois
legislators regarding the budget mess. Young and old, providers and
clients, all came with one message: save our services. "Help us
save people, save lives, to make a difference. We can't do that if the
government doesn't allow us to do that," says Ovester Armstrong of Our
